‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 To Premiere This Halloween
Oh. My. God.
Forget football— a new teaser for Netflix’s “Stranger Things” will air during the Super Bowl this Sunday. Are you freaking out? Good. I’m no psychic, but I have a hunch it will be way more action-packed than the Falcons and Patriots game itself.
To tie us over until game day, Entertainment Weekly released an exclusive photo from Netflix, and it’s SO ’80s nostalgic, it hurts. Here we see Dustin, Mike, Lucas and Will dressed in “Ghostbusters” gear and donning quizzical looks. Is Eleven back? Are the kids still traumatized by their run-in with the Demogorgon? How is Will adjusting to post-Upside-Down life? WE NEED ANSWERS, NETFLIX.
While details on season two have been extremely hush hush, we know it will take place in 1984, one year after the first season’s events. Executive producer Shawn Levy teased the imminent danger for our beloved characters. “The Demogorgon was destroyed but evil wasn’t,” he told EW.
There’s still no announcement on a release date yet, but many speculate it will drop before July of this year. In the meantime, stock up on Eggos, pray for Barb and tune into sports this Sunday to watch the full trailer.
