Would You Live in an Old Abandoned Church? This Couple Chose To, and It's Pretty Cool
Since 1792, the small, Saxon "St. Nicholas Church," has remained structurally sound, despite withstanding the countless storms and winters that come with over two centuries of seasons. It remained in use, all those many years, all the way up until 1970, when it was vacated and left to deteriorate.
Recently however, a London-based real estate group claimed the property, giving it a comprehensive, head-to-toe renovation. Except, they didn't renovate it to lease as a church - the group rebuilt it to be a house.
Not long after the remodeling was finished, a couple fell in love with the unique and historic home, buying it outright. Now, St. Nicholas "church-home" is their own private sanctuary.
