This Story Of A Sick Dog Who Was Rescued By Loving Hands Will Touch Your Heart

by N/A, 8 years ago | 2 min read

If you're not a fan of the work Animal Aid Unlimited does, that's probably because you haven't heard of them - actually, that's the only viable reason.

The non-profit organization in Udaipur, India made up entirely of volunteers, dedicates itself to taking in stray animals, many of which are near death due to their injuries, and tenderly nurturing them back to full health. Most recently, they adopted an extremely sick stray dog whose 2-month transformation you may have trouble believing.

Aside from being extremely dehydrated, the dog had severe mange - a skin disease caused by parasitic mites that results in hair loss, itching, and lesions.
Animal Aid Unlimited spotted the poor dog on the side of a busy road and immediately pulled over.

They assumed by his condition and demeanor that he'd hardly had any human interaction in months, so to avoid risking scaring him off, volunteers had to corral him with a net.

After bringing him in for treatment and food, their assumption was confirmed - he was skittish even to the gentlest touch.

But gradually, the exhausted dog began to calm down, realizing his caretakers were there to help him.
