For the past year or so, artist Ruth Oosterman has been collaborating with her 3-year-old daughter to create amazing paintings. There's a lot of love between the two, and it shows in the artwork. You'll be surprised a 3-year-old had a hand in making these awesome works of art. Check out more of Oosterman's work on her blog.
This is artist Ruth Oosterman and her 3-year-old daughter Eve. You may be surprised to learn Eve is an artist as well.

For the past year or so, Eve and her mother have been collaborating to create beautiful paintings.

The image on the left is Eve's original work, the image on the right is the finished product with Ruth's additions.
The collaboration process goes like this: Eve will typically begin the paintings by making free-flowing, abstract images with a marker or water colors, then Ruth turns the images into a final product.

It's an interesting commentary on how a mother sees the artwork of her daughter. Kind of touching.
The results are pretty amazing, and Eve's freely creative spirit really shines through in the paintings.

It's awesome to see a mother sharing her creative passion with her daughter, especially at such a young age.

What a cute hedgehog.
Sometimes, Eve gets pretty bold with her abstract marks.

And these seem to yield some of the most interesting and beautifully colorful results.
Eve definitely has a knack for capturing animals with watercolor.

Assuming Eve painted the ears, this is really impressive.
This is great for both mother and daughter–Eve gets to sharpen her young artistic ability, and Ruth gets to practice a freeing exercise to keep her creativity sharp.
