You don't get dubbed TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice of the Year for just any old reason.
Constructed in 1928 for a Maharaja ("high king"), Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India has since been converted into an unreal hotel.

The opulent palace is located on 26 acres of gardens and has 347 rooms, 64 of which guests can stay in.

The Umaid Bhawan Palace was named the 2016's best hotel by TripAdvisor in its 14th year of Travelers' Choice Awards. The award was based off more than 840 perfect five-star reviews.

And as you might suspect, the Palace is a favorite among millionaires and celebrities.

Considering they're pretty much the only people that can afford staying here.
And as you can see, its design and decor are on an entirely different level of luxury.

And the rates are exactly what you'd expect. Standard rooms start from about $660 per night for two adults.

Then there's the suites, which start from around $1,748. For one night...
