The Dude Who Has 29 Miley Cyrus Tattoos Suddenly Wants To Get Them Removed
Every single one of us is a superfan of something.
Whether it's movies, books, sports, music, fashion etc., we all admire something. Most of us, however, wouldn't cover our entire body with tattoos to show our fandom or name our kids after a pop idol—especially if the object of our fan affection's a girl half our age. Unless you're 43-year-old Miley Cyrus superfan Carl McCoid, that is. Then you totally do all that.
43-year-old Carl McCoid from Bridlington, East Yorkshire, England is pretty obsessed with Miley Cyrus.
Like that wasn't instantly obvious from the picture.
When I say obsessed, I mean obsessed. McCoid has 29 tattoos of the pop sensation and former teen star covering his body.
That's right. Twenty. Nine. Miley Cyrus tats. McCoid got his first Miley tat in 2010 after his divorce. In all, the tattoos cost him £2,800.
Lately, though, McCoid has been trying to get his Miley tats removed and/or covered up, because he's having trouble getting a girlfriend. Wow, what a shocker.
According to Hull Daily Mail and McCoid himself, every time he goes on a date, "People can't seem to see past the tattoos and it was having a very negative effect on my life where I felt trapped by them." Pretty sad. What's sadder is that he apparently didn't see that coming at all. Apparently, McCoid also disapproves of Miley's controversial style and life choices, and he's "gone off her."
This excuse of "I can't get a GF" for having the tattoos removed actually seems a bit coincidental—Miley has called McCoid's tats "ugly" and "creepy" in several press outlets. She's also blocked him on Twitter. So is getting the tattoos of Miley removed some backwards way of regaining Miley's coveted affection? Many other press outlets agree this is the cause for his want of tattoo removal, but he hasn't been clear of the main reason.
IDK though if the tattoos are really all that ugly. I mean, would you call this rib cage tattoo of Miley's face ugly?
Yes, of course you would, because it's hideous. If you think it's anything other than ugly and creepy, you should probably have your driver's license revoked because you're obviously legally blind.
McCoid is reportedly working seven days a week now to fund the tattoo cover-ups/removals.
It's really a shame that people (including me, 100%) lambast him so harshly for his tattoos and Miley obsession. I mean, it is really creepy, but people in his life, such as his co-worker Alison Buckley, have said they "saw beyond the tattoos" and that "he's actually a really nice guy." Well, at least he's got that going for him. Poor guy.
McCoid doesn't care what the cost is, he just wants the tattoos off his body.
Whatever the reasoning, McCoid wants the tattoos gone ASAP, and I have to say, even though I don't know him, it's probably one of the best life choices he's made in recent years.
I'd say Miley agrees.
