Get to know Pitchfork Music Festival’s coolest artists with this summer playlist.

If there’s one place you can count on finding moody indie rockers, hip-hop artists on the brink of stardom and timeless Grammy-winning performers, it’s Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival. And this year especially, you won’t want to miss out.

In addition to a bustling three-day music lineup that includes Solange, LCD Soundsystem and A Tribe Called Quest, the festival is teaming up with the former’s label and arts platform, Saint Heron, to curate events around the city. Between art installations, film screenings, poetry readings and jazz jam sessions, expect a fully-immersive arts experience in connection with the music happening all weekend. This year, the Renegade Craft Fair will also be popping up at the festival, with over 50 independent makers selling art, jewelry and much more.

In addition to its thriving arts scene, Pitchfork is also known for its fresh indie talent. This year, each artist brings a unique voice to the festival. Whether it’s the ethereal vocals of Frankie Cosmos, the enthralling angst of Angel Olsen or the beauty and pain in Solange’s “A Seat at the Table,” there’s something for everyone to connect to.
