Drihanna makes us all believe in love ??.

There were a lot of awesome things about the VMAs this year. Rihanna performed (four times), Beyoncé sang an epic medley of her “Lemonade” hits and made VMA history, and Britney Spears made her comeback by lip-syncing “Make Me…” and awkwardly avoiding a kiss from G-Eazy. And of course, the fashion was on point.

But nothing compared to the moment when Drake took the stage with Rihanna to present her with the honorary Vanguard Video Award. As someone who has collaborated with Rihanna frequently, flies across the country to appear at her concerts, and goes above and beyond to show how much he loves her (the guy bought her an entire billboard for goodness sake!), there was no one more fitting to present her with the honor. But Drake also used the opportunity to declare his love for her, and it melted all of our collective hearts.

She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old. She’s one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life I’ve looked up to her even though she’s younger than me. She’s a living, breathing legend in our industry.

I don’t know about you, but I had TEARS streaming down my face during this. Like everyone else on Twitter, I totally thought he was going to propose. I’ve been a Rihanna fan from the very beginning, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her this happy—just look at that genuine smile on her face and how she adorably rolls her eyes at him.

Rihanna even seemed to joke about the touching moment, when she appeared to mouth, “that wasn’t funny.”

While Rihanna seems to play things cool in the public eye, there’s behind-the-scenes proof of her being adorable with Drake, and it’s making me believe in true love.

Case 1: This behind-the-scenes kiss

Bet you totally missed that on TV, right?!

Case 3: This ah-dorable backstage action where Rihanna holds his arm—I’m dead

After Rihanna’s big night, Drake posted a heartfelt message about how proud he was of his girl.

They also reportedly hung out at a VMAs after-party too, according to People. Basically, it was THEIR NIGHT and now my ice cold heart has melted. I’m updating my Tinder bio as I speak to read: Just a girl looking for her Drizzy.

So thank you, Drihanna, for making us all believe that love isn’t dead. Their supportive relationship with one another and the ability to always be there for one another proves that it’s worth waiting for the right person. Bless you. ??
