Now she helps other disabled veterans cross the finish line.

In 2004, Melissa Stockwell became the first female soldier to lose a limb in the Iraq War. Today, she’s helping other injured veterans and athletes with disabilities train to complete triathalons. Dose visited Dare2Tri’s annual Injured Military Camp in Hammond, Indiana to learn more:
